Surveys

Our survey and valuation department covers both East and West Sussex.

The partner in charge, David Robertson, BSc, FRICS, has over 30 years experience of surveys and valuations and mostly in Sussex, and undertakes homebuyersÍ reports and full structural surveys as well as property valuations for many financial institutions. Valuations are also prepared for private clients for many reasons, including matrimonial disputes, probate and tax assessments, etc. We provide a professional service combined with a quick response to instructions received, at a realistic fee level.

Our survey department offers two levels of report as above, and should you wish to discuss details of the inspections and reports available, and our fee scale, please contact David Robertson as above.

Our intention is to offer clients a professional, efficient and friendly service enabling purchasers to make an informed judgement as to whether to proceed with a purchase or indeed to negotiate a reduction in the price to be paid. Where appropriate advice is given to clients on the value of a property and ultimately whether or not a purchase should proceed.

It will be appreciated that, whilst many mortgagees will be provided with a copy of the valuation report prepared for their bank or building society, a survey will provide a much more thorough and detailed assessment of the property.
